The Lost Yaziki
In the cold winter of 1932, a young girl in rural Ukraine survives the Soviet Famines. In 1975, her timid daughter is courted by a Pentecostal evangelist determined to flee to America. And now, in 2008, their first American-born daughter has just escaped to Portland, Oregon, where she is struggling to shed her ghosts and find belonging in her adopted homeland.
Three generations of Ukrainian women risk everything that bonds them together as they seek freedom from their haunted past.
